Objectives
- Allow people to define that projects exist (or are being proposed)
- Provide a new Project Request Log
Process
1. Create a new SN Project record using the SN Project Intake Form (via the Service Catalog)
2. Add relevant information to the SN Project record (PM, team, assignment group, etc)
3. Create a new SN Portfolio Project record to connect the new SN Project with at least one existing SN Portfolio
  1. Add that Portfolio Project to other SN Portfolios as needed
4. Monthly updates to the SN Portfolio Project record to communicate project status/risks/etc
5. Optionally use SN Project Tasks, etc to manage the implementation of the project

- The OIT Project Request Log can be changed to use the SN Project record information
- OIT Directors can optionally review/approve projects that come in
Roles
- Project Manager
  - Should be responsibility for the 4/5 process steps above
    - Could delegate some items to tech leads
- Technical Lead
  - Conduct projects (track via SN Project record if the PM requests it)
  - Provide status updates to the PM
- OIT Divisional Directors
  - Review Portfolio Project Status Reports
  - Monitor/review incoming projects as required
  - Help ensure their divisional managers are referencing/maintaining all active/pending projects in SN
- OIT PM (PMO)
  - Help ensure all OIT managers are representing projects in SN
  - Provide reports to OIT Divisional Directors
  - Manage the OIT Project Request Log
- Stakeholders
  - Receive/review PDF Portfolio Project status reports
Next Steps
- Document/propose the minimum steps and SN Portfolio/PortfolioProject/Project data elements to be maintained on an active project for reporting (Eric P)
  - Eric T will recommend his starting ideas
- Develop draft reports based on the above
- Jeff M asked for this to be completed by the end of August
