DWH KFS Decision Support JIRA Tasks - Status Chart

Prior Two Week Activity

Completed
  • Cognos Report Stats:
    • Number Cognos Reports to be developed for Phase I: 15
    • Number of Phase I Cognos Reports Completed: 11
    • Remaining Phase I Reports to be developed: 5
    • Total Reports to be developed (all phases): 29
  • Balance job is completed and loading without errors. Balance totals have not been verified.
  • All table look-up reports (list of accounts, objects, etc.) are completed
In Progress
  • Re-architecting of PURAP fact table (Tammy)
  • Consultant is working on scripts to automate validation of balances
  • Student is working on adding color scheme and cleaning up GUIs for Account Transaction and Fund Summary Reports
  • Build Cognos framework to allow building of reports for KFS reconciliation process (Tammy)
  • Document and provide data warehouse team the list of fund groups needed to add to the database for FS0150 style reports (business analyst/focus group)
  • Enhancement to DWH BOToolkit to allow calls to new KFS web services (student)
  • Prototyping of prompt pages for Cognos reports (student)
  • Scripts to add KFS attributes to legacy data warehouse (employee, payroll, fs). Coding is complete - currently testing every night for pps daily and every pps month-end. (Grace)
  • Updates to the org dimension job to add hierarchy level code
  • Development of scripts to migrate open receivables transactions from legacy DWH to KFS DWH (Anh)

Data Warehouse Support

DWH is operating well as usual, Grace is acting as primary DWH production support. 
Preparations and job monitoring during fiscal year-end
Annual SSN data extraction of residents for SOM 
Grace is assisting with range adjustments in PPS
Upgrade to Java 7 - Student developer will work on upgrading DWH to Java 7 this summer.

Payroll Certification - Data extraction, pulling documentation together to provide to NSF for the DHHS audit.

Next two week planned activities and deliverables

  • Continue making bug fixes to ETL scripts and testing
  • Final polishing of Fund Summary and Account Transaction Reports
  • Publish Decision Support channel in SNAP
  • Decision Support KFS Town Halls
  • Continue report development for highest priority reports

We plan to upgrade to SQL Server 2012 on our development server, but there are concerns this might cause some setbacks for the KFS Decision Support project.
