Logitech Sight in LL 110

The Logitech Sight is an AI-powered tabletop camera designed to enhance hybrid meetings. It works in tandem with the Logitech Rally Bar (the large camera bar under the TV) to provide a front-and-center view of meeting participants around the table.

Some key features:

  • Intelligent Framing: It uses audio and video to detect, frame, and present participants, ensuring remote attendees can see and hear everyone clearly.

  • Enhanced Meeting Experience: By capturing conversations and non-verbal cues, it makes remote participants feel more engaged and included.

This makes it a valuable tool for organizations adopting hybrid work models, aiming to create more equitable and effective meeting experiences.

Currently the Sight is only compatible with the Logitech Rally Bar (the device in Rooms LL 110 and SL 366) so that is why the Sight is located in LL 110.

When to Use the Logitech Sight

The Sight is best for meetings where there will be 2 or more people sitting at the far end of the table (away from the TV), since the cameras on the Sight only capture that portion of the table. The best place to sit if you want to take advantage of the features of the Sight are toward the far end of the table.

Example scenarios:

  • A meeting (hybrid or otherwise) with only 4-6 people seated towards the front of the room, near the TV screen: not best for the Sight, because the Sight only captures those towards the far end of the room.

  • A meeting (hybrid or otherwise) with 4 or more people seated toward the back of the room (away from the screen): best scenario for using the Sight because the Sight will frame people engaging in the meeting people from all around the table (including the far end).

  • A hybrid meeting with only 1 person in LL 110: not ideal for the Sight, and in fact, the Sight will only work when there are at least 2 people and they are seated toward the farther half of the table (the side away from the TV).

How to Use the Logitech Sight in LL 110

How to Disable the Logitech Sight

You may want to disable the Sight if:

  • there are not many people in your meeting

  • the people in your meeting are all seated around the front half of the table (near the TV)

  • If you only need the Rally Bar camera (the camera under the TV)

To disable the Sight, simply change the Zoom room out of “Speaker Focus” using the Tablet on the table. Once your meeting has started, touch the “View” button. You can then select one of the below options:

  1. Multi-speaker View: (recommended view if not using the Sight device) Multi-speaker view provides meeting participants a more engaging experience, dynamically adapting to current speakers by highlighting and enlarging their video tiles over others, while still providing a view of other participants in a smaller gallery view below.

  2. Thumbnail View: allows you to minimize the main Zoom window while keeping the video feed visible and accessible, allowing you to move it around your screen or hide it entirely.

  3. Gallery View: displays all participants in a grid, allowing you to see everyone simultaneously

  4. Speaker View: frames the active speaker in the room and provides a picture-in-picture view of the room. (*Note that this will enable the Logitech Sight device)

What do the two buttons on the side of the Logitech Sight do?

The two buttons on the side of the Sight are mute buttons. Pressing the button will turn the LED on the Sight red indicating that the camera is no longer active, in addition, this will mute all the room microphones. To unmute the cameras and microphones, simply press each button again and you should see the two LEDs on the Sight turn green again meaning that both cameras and all the room microphones are active again.

Troubleshooting

  • There is no audio

    • Make sure that the Sight is not muted (there are two buttons, one button under each camera. Make sure the light is green above each of the buttons.
