Focus Groups Move UCI Kuali Financial System Forward

Accounting Systems staff has moved into high gear. Testing and training of fellow employees has begun. Accounting and finance employees from all segments of the UCI community have been invited to participate in working towards the proposed July 2013 launch.
KFS Focus Groups have become an essential part of this increased activity. Since the beginning of March over 70 staff members in five KFS Focus Groups meet weekly to advise on KFS modules for Chart of Accounts, Financial Transactions, Contracts & Grants, Purchasing and Accounts Payable, and Capital Asset Management.
The focus group members include experts from the Medical Center, School of Engineering, the Budget Office, schools of Physical Sciences, Social Sciences, Medicine, Nursing Science, Law, Biological Sciences, and many other UCI institutions.
Over the next few months more focus groups will be coming together to collaborate on modules for the Labor Ledger, Electronic Reconciliation of Ledger, and Accounts Controls.
