Your banner is what resembles a navigation bar at the top of your page, no matter where you have navigated to in ServiceNow. It contains the following functions:
Navigation to Home
Profile Editing and Log Off

Help Sidebar
ServiceNow Settings
Navigating to Home - Your Dashboard
At any point in time, no matter where you are located in ServiceNow, you can reach your dashboard simply by clicking on the UCI OIT logo in the upper left hand corner of your banner. This links home and will always redirect you.
Profile Editing and Log Off
These two functions are fairly straight forward.
Toggle the profile menu drop down by clicking on your name and profile picture in the upper left hand corner of the page.
You should see two menu items. Click on profile in order to view/edit your profile information. See _________(Create a profile editing guide) for a guide on how to edit your profile information.
Logout is self-explanatory. Click the logout menu item to logout when you are done with your session.
