Project Plan
After only marginal success with using EZ-GPO for centralized PC power management, we are now working through Facilities Management to procure Verdiem Surveyor to manage this task. This is an agent/server based product that collects, deploys and enforces power policies for PCs in a manner similar to other enterprise managed services such as antivirus and patch deployment.
Tasks:
- Install Surveyor server and test clients
- Collect baseline data
- Create power policies
- Enable enforcement
Status:
- 3/31/08: Server app installed
- 4/10/08: Test clients (AdCom) deployed
- 4/25/08: Baseline data submitted to Verdiem
- 5/2/08: Baseline analysis received from Verdiem; forwarded to Paul Wingco
- 5/20/08: Baseline Mode turned off; enforcement active
