KSAMS - New Security Access Management System

What is KSAMS?

KSAMS (new Security Access Management System) is a web-based centralized authorization (role-based access control) system that provides a central point for defining roles and managing user membership for those roles.

Where can I access KSAMS?

The KSAMS application can be accessed by going to Zot!Portal » Applications » My Applications.

Who is my Department Security Administrator (DSA)?

Go to KSAMS » Access Request tab » Contact DSA.

How do I submit a KSAMS request?

Account Number is optional.

Go to KSAMS » Access Request tab » Add Request.

How do I check the status of my KSAMS request?

Go to KSAMS » Approval Queue tab » Document Search. You can enter the initiator or the grantee and the date created as search parameters. You will get a list of results that you can drill-down.

At the drill-down, you can expand Route Log and see where the request is awaiting approval, and who the approvers are.

I'm still having issues with KSAMS...

You can contact the OIT Helpdesk at x2222 or oit (AT) uci (DOT) edu.
