Any datetime2 column needs to be cast in the framework manager package. We will only update the data items on the business layer.
To cast a field in a Cognos project/package, use the following function:
cast(<fieldname>, timestamp)
Scott compiled a list of a columns that have the datetime2 datatype in dss_kfs (Informatica tables). We are unable to tell if a view is using a datetime2 column from the originating table, so we will have to manually check each one that is used by a package.
Columns to exclude:
created_ew_dttm - Not used in any reports
timestamp? - not sure if they are being used
