If a new vendor package purchase is needed, the ARB is involved in requirements analysis and product evaluation. The ARB ensures the solution is secure, meets campus and UC technical guidelines, and that RFP and contract language includes appropriate investment protection. Support and sustainability of the solution are a key part of the review process. Members of the ARB also coordinate campus-wide technical initiatives and participate in architecture planning. While the decisions of the ARB are not binding, the Project Review Team relies heavily on the recommendations obtained from the ARB when determining priority and allocation of resources to a project.
