Completed
  • Cognos framework that points directly to KFS - adding crosswalk tables and other tables needed to develop look-up reports
  • Fixed incorrect balance specs
  • Script to load the PPS title table into KFS
  • Loaded CFS Balance files into dwhdump schema for January, February, March (April load is in progress)
  • Updated all jobs to load newly updated DSS schema
  • Met with focus group, discussed their concerns with the KFS organizational hierarchy and how it will affect their reports in DS. They would like to propose adding another level to the hierarchy, allowing them to split up their organizations in a way that allows for easier reporting. Katherine Gallardo will set up a meeting to discuss this with the budget office.
  • Production SQL server (solar) is ready

  • Training new student hires (Tammy/Valerie)
  • Upgrading TalenD jobs to newer version on the production server (Valerie/Anh)
  • Development for FS0150, FS0209 (for standard reconciliation) equivalent reports (Jason)
  • Document a distinct list of Cognos reports to be developed for KFS with prioritization (Jason has told Valerie he needs more of Victor's time to help him finish this)

Data Warehouse Support

DWH is operating well as usual, Grace is acting as primary DWH production support. 
Recent Code Modifications/Turnovers:
SAMS Domain Query - added UCInetID and split first/last name to output (Annual audit is in progress)
Employee Domain Query - modified query to increase the row limit for UCIMC Parking Query (output is over 300,000 rows)
Security - granted edocs group account access to employee change query (for querying new hires)
Internal Directory - changes to the ldap scripts per Jason and Warren's request
Grace, Larry and Valerie met with Gina Roque in OIR to discuss her full-time equivalents project. We walked her through the queries and answered her questions. She will keep in contact with us and let us know if she needs any more assistance.
The UCPath project had its initial kick-off meeting last week for our wave. We are still interviewing for our Report and Decision Support developers for this project.
Payroll Certification - Minor change to add ITS to the list of exempt DOS codes (complete)

Next two week planned activities and deliverables

  • Continue making bug fixes to ETL scripts and testing
  • Continue working on approval for high priority reports
  • Plans for Cognos portal/user experience for Cognos (SNAP) - will work with focus group on this project
  • Continue report development for highest priority reports
  • Meet with Budget Office to discuss the focus group's concerns with the current KFS organizational structure
  • Completion of balance ETL scripts
  • Students will continue to develop KFS look-up reports in Cognos
