Issues encountered

1. Limitation of Spreadsheet.

• manual process to manipute spread sheet.
  
  • spreadsheet has very limited function to search , mass edit etc.
  • very slow manual process to extract and manipulate to the desired format.
  • rely on eyeballing to check errors.
• may not fit future metadata software chosen.
• does not represent self-iterative relationship or multiple occurrence of records with the same key (e.g. aliases).
  
  

     2. some initial access issue with versioning files.

 
3. require a decision on metadata software sooner than later.

• different software may have different requirements on data and design.
• e.g., superluminate will require addition input on schema design and entity-relationship infomation, i.e. a data model of the metadata database.
