In this policy, "you" refers to a student using ZotPortal. "We" refers to the ZotPortal web application and administrators.

Your privacy is of the utmost importance when you use ZotPortal. We take measures to ensure that your data is safe at all times. Specifically:

  • We do not store copies of your personal information, except for the following:
    1. Your name
    2. Your major field(s) of study and level
    3. Any other information you've made available through the UCI campus directory
  • We only retrieve and display your personal financial and academic information from departments on campus who have given us permission to do so, and we only retrieve the information when you're logged into the portal.
  • Your information is encrypted with high-grade encryption and transmitted in such a way that it can only be displayed on your browser
  • ZotPortal administrators and support staff can only see how your content is arranged and what your tabs are named, they will never be able to see your course information, Financial information, Admissions info or Facebook information.
