Conference Rooms: Langson Library 110 and Science Library 366 Instructions
1. Using the room with the Instructional Computer:
Note: you can share content you have available online, stored on the instructional computer, or from a USB flash drive that you connect to the white USB extension cable hanging from the right side of the TV.
Set the TV source to the correct HDMI port:
Power on the TV
Press the source button and using the arrow keys navigate to PC HDMI1
Press the Select button
Make sure the HDMI switch has the correct port selected:
Press the SELECT button so that the green light is active over INPUT 1
NOTE: When you are finished, power the TV Off
2. Using the room with a Laptop:
Using the USB-C cable provided on the table:
Set the TV source to the correct HDMI port:
Power on the TV
Press the source button and using the arrow keys navigate to PC HDMI1
Press the Select button
Make sure the HDMI switch has the correct port selected:
Press the SELECT button so that the green light is active over INPUT 2
Connect the laptop to the black USB-C cable on the table top
Note that for MacOS laptops you may get a popup window with “Allow accessory to connect”. Click “Approve” to allow the display to connect.
Using WiFi:
Make sure you are seeing the Zoom Room screen on the TV (you will see a 6-letter code in the upper right hand screen after the text “Sharing key”):
To share the laptop desktop over WiFi, open a browser and navigate to share.zoom.us. That will open Zoom and a window asking for a code to share. Enter in the Sharing key code. You should then see your laptop desktop on the TV.
3. Using the Room for a Zoom Call:
Set the TV source to the correct HDMI port:
Power on the TV
Press the source button and using the arrow keys navigate to Zoom Room HDMI2
Press the Select button
4. When you are finished, power the TV Off
5. IMPORTANT NOTE: You may have to remove the protective caps from the camera lenses:
6. Please place the caps back over the camera lenses when you have finished using the room
5. Troubleshooting
Problem: Video from Zoom Room camera is black or seems not to be connecting
Possible Solutions:
Make sure the lens cap has been removed from the camera lens on the camera bar below the monitor.
Make sure that the wall monitor is powered on and the input is set to “Zoom Room”.
If the two above options are set correctly, then try to restart the camera bar:
Look for the “Button to Reset Camera” button on the wall near the TV:
Press the “Off” button (this will turn off the camera), wait for 3 seconds, and then press the “On” button. Then wait for about 1-2 minutes for the system to come back up.
