KBM Decision Support Meeting Notes 2014-08-08

Attendees: Valerie Jones, Eufemia Palomino, Katherine Gallardo, Maria Gorginova

1. We are unable to copy the production KBM data to INT in KFS, therefore we will point the Cognos package to the production database. Please be careful when running your reports against this package.
2. Database:
   1. YTD columns will include Beginning Balance + month balances
   2. We will calculate variances in the report for now. If performance suffers we will add it to a view.
3. Cognos Package Reviewed:
   1. Fix numeric fields that are displaying as measures when they should not be
   2. Remove ETL columns
4. Specs for Staffing List Reviewed:
   1. Prompt Page:
      1. Fiscal Year/Period/Chart should be a single-select dropdown
      2. User can pick Object Consolidation Codes
   2. Grouping/Summary
      1. Sum CSF Amount, FTE QTY fields
      2. Group By Account, Org
   3. Filters
      1. Display only Object Consolidation Codes SWG0, SWG1
5. Appropriations Report
   1. Prompt Page:
      1. Fiscal Year/Period should be a single-select dropdown
      2. Data will return for ALL records for the fiscal year UP TO the period selected in the prompt (e.g. User selects period 3, report will return Periods BB, 1, 2, 3)

Action Items:

1) Valerie - point the KBM Cognos Package to production data, make changes listed above to Cognos package

2) Eufemia - Modify balance view to calculate YTD balances per specs above, modify Report Specs to include changes listed above & upload to JIRAs for Maria and Katherine to review and approve

3) Maria & Katherine - Review updated specs for Staffing List and Appropriations Report once Eufemia has completed them.
