- Who: Identify campus experts and organizational beta testers with the ability to thoroughly test all the KFS system modules
- Send out requests/volunteers to test in central offices
- Develop Excel Tracking Spreadsheet to track testers
- Setup groups & individuals who will be using the JIRA testing system, and provide formatted test instructions for those who will be submitting test results via email
- What: Identify areas (modules) & problems that need to be tested
- Ask Central-type offices for common and unique issues they come across
- Ask Departmental-type offices for unique issues they come across
- Set up JIRA dashboards for all modules to track testing
- Test & Retest all system mods, enhancements, and common issues in KFS
- Identify areas of the integrated KFS system flowchart to do extensive system testing
- When: Timeline of when system testing will start
- Email/JIRA Testing
- Accounting Systems: 1st phase (Fall’12)
- AP, C&G, and General Accounting: 1st phase (Fall’12)
- Feeder Systems: 1st & 2nd phase (Fall’12-Winter’13)
- Lab Testing & Email/JIRA Testing
- Materials & Risk Management: 1st phase (Fall’12)
- Beta Departments/Units: 2nd phase (Winter’13)
- Lab Testing
- Multi-Module Integration Testing: 2nd phase (Winter’13)
- Beta Units Lab Drop-in/Misc. Document Testing: 3rd phase (Spring’13)
- Record: Track the results of individuals & areas who are involved in testing
