Edit Knowledge Base Article Roles

Overview

In general, the default for all knowledge base articles is that they are available to the public, but by following the guide below, you can limit which users can view an article based on the roles that are assigned to the article. For example, if an article should only be viewable by the Help Desk, you can assign the OIT Helpdesk role to the article to limit its visibility to the Help Desk.

Edit Knowledge Base Article Roles

  1. Navigate to the knowledge article to be edited.
  2. Click the edit roles icon. 



  3. Select roles from the left bucket, and click the right arrow to add the roles to your article.



  4. Select roles on the right, and click the left arrow to remove the roles from your article.



  5. Click Done when finished editing roles.
