• REVIEWED ISO metadata standards and research on how to start  building metadata schema.
• reviewed ErWin data model forwarded by Valerie.
• review MDS and the metadata data collected and concluded that did not meet our needs.
• review Cognos existing schema.
• testing Erwin default reporting tool for metadata extract,physical database report and convert into XCL.
  • • reading AND RESEARCH ErWin documents (ODBC Reporting, Data browser) to add reporting attributes (data type, PK,FK,AK etc.)
  • required software update to r9 and ODBC reporting functions and data browser for more reporting attributes.
  • contacted CA support TO reestablish technical support.
• contacted Durendal for the spreasdsheet dump of KFS cognos packages.

next week:

• install Cognos Framework Manager.
• get access to 'sub- subversion' project files from Valerie.
• build the metadata spreadsheet based on Durandal's spreadsheet.
