Intro

The uPay features of Marketplace allow departments to configure online payment pages that connect to existing campus web applications. uPay focuses only on the payment pages, and the department builds the storefront/product pages in the department system external to uPay. This web application then calls the uPay site when it’s time for a payment to be accepted. uPay allows site layout choices and images to maintain a consistent look and feel.

Requirements

Department IT Staff

This project will require IT staff on the department end to create, configure, and integrate the local storefront/web application with uPay.

Annual PCI-DSS Validation

uPay departments will be required to perform annual PCI (Payment Card Industry) compliance validation, since the department storefront/web application is in scope for PCI. Per the Marketplace Terms & Conditions on PCI DSS (Data Security Standard) Compliance Validation:

UPay Sites - Validation of merchant-hosted storefronts that are connected to UPay sites is completed by the merchant and may include, but is not limited to:

  • The completion of a Self-Assessment Questionnaire and Attestation of Compliance
  • Supporting Evidence and documentation
  • Technical verification of valid PCI redirect
  • Application scan(s)
  • Vulnerability scans
  • HTTPS configuration assessment
