Intro

The uPay features of Marketplace allow departments to configure online payment pages that connect to existing campus web applications. uPay focuses only on the payment pages, and the department builds the storefront/product pages in the department system external to uPay. This web application then calls the uPay site when it’s time for a payment to be accepted. uPay allows site layout choices and images to maintain a consistent look and feel.

Requirements

Department IT Staff

This project will require IT staff on the department end to create, configure, and integrate the local storefront/web application with uPay.

Annual PCI-DSS Validation

The Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) is a proprietary information security standard for organizations that handle branded credit cards from the major card schemes including Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, and JCB.

Although the department storefront/web application will not handle the credit card payment processing, the system is in scope for PCI-DSS compliance.

The department is required to complete annual PCI-DSS validation, which includes but is not limited to:

  1. Self-Assessment Questionnaire (SAQ)
  2. Application review
  3. Security scans
