A redirect is useful when you need to take a user to some other location on the web when they visit a particular URL.

Creating redirects

Create a new page by selecting Redirect from the Add Content menu.

Redirect destination

The redirect destination is the location to which the user will be taken.

Enter the URL of the redirect’s destination.

Optional details

If you create any customizations that involve indexing redirects, you may want to include additional information about the redirect in these fields to display in the index listings.

  • Site name - the name of the site on which the destination exists.

  • Page title - the title of the destination page,

  • Page description - a description of the destination page.

  • Page publication date - the publications date of the destination page.

  • Thumbnail image - a thumbnail representative of the the destination page,

All the above details are intended to describe the destination, not the redirect itself.
