The choice to open a link in a new tab/window vs. the same tab/window has accessibility implications. In most cases, opening a link in the same window is the correct and appropriate choice. Only in rare cases is it appropriate to open a link in a new tab/window (e.g., to preserve the state of the page being linked from). |
