Overview
Dashboards are an easy way in ServiceNow to display different performance metrics, reporting, and widgets on a single screen. They can be created, customized, and tailored to fit the specific needs of a user. In addition, dashboards can be shared with multiple users, which makes them ideal for teams looking to display records relating to open tasks, projects, charts, etc. Below is an example of a dashboard.

However, in order to switch to using dashboards instead of a homepage, you must change a general setting so that your most recent dashboard is loaded instead of a homepage when navigating home. Follow the instructions below to switch to a dashboard first before continuing on to a different guide.

Switching to Dashboards from a Homepage
- From any screen, click on the settings button (gear icon) in the upper right hand corner of the window.

- You should see a window appear with general settings. Scan down the list to the Home section under General.

- Make sure that the Dashboards radio button is selected. You can always come back in and change this setting.
