Contact Todd McGill or Jim Kreuziger in Strategic Communications. You will need to provide:

  1. Your site's domain (URL). If the domain doesn't yet exist, it must be requested of and approved by OIT. Please review OIT's subdomain guidelines before submitting your request to them. 
  2. Your site's development or staging URL (if applicable).
  3. The name of the web server administrator. For new sites, Strategic Communications will coordinate with OIT to establish web hosting for your site. Learn more about OIT's UNIX web hosting services.
  4. A list of UCInetIDs for the people you want to grant access to your Cascade Site. Indicate which users should be granted admin access (full, unrestricted) and which should be granted restricted access (able to edit and publish content, but not able to make greater site-wide changes).

Once this step is complete, you will have a new Cascade Site that is connected to your web server for content publishing. The Site will be mostly empty, containing only a few assets needed to make your site work.
