Overview
Reports are generally fairly straightforward, but there are many different facets that are usually left unexplored. Browse this guide for a more in-depth guide to the reporting application and the ways a report can be edited. First, follow the below instructions to navigate to a report of your choice before continuing on with the rest of the guide.
- Input "Reports" into the filter navigator.
- Click View / Run under Reports.
- Search for the report you would like to copy by using the navigation bar at the top of the content frame.
- Use the different tabs, My reports, Group, Global, or All to locate a report based on its sharing settings.
- Once navigated to the right tab, use the search field at the right of the navigation bar to locate the specific report.
- Click the title of the desired report.
- To preview a report while editing (run without saving), click the Run button at the top right of the content frame, or the refresh button at the top left of the content frame.

Data Settings
- Editing anything in the Data tab will affect the entire report.
- First, navigate to the Data tab by clicking Data at the top left of the content frame.
Image Added - There are a few items that can be edited within the data tab. To edit the title of the report, there are two options.
- First, you can edit the Report name field.
Image Added - The second way to change the title of the report is to directly click the title of the report in the content frame, and edit in place.
- Click anywhere outside of the title to save your change.
Image Added - Continuing in the data tab, you can change the Source type. Use the dropdown to select either Table or Data source.
Image Added - Based on your selection for Source type, the next field will appear as either Table or Data source.
- Use the dropdown filter to search for either a Table or Data source.

Type Settings
- First, make sure that you are navigated to the Type tab by clicking on the tab at the top left of the content frame.
Image Added - The Type tab controls the type of visualization created by your report (e.g. bar chart, line graph, list , etc.).
- Use the filter bar to filter your search or scroll through the visualization types.
- Click on the associated card to apply it to your report.

Configuration Settings
- Navigate to the Configure tab by clicking the tab title at the top left of the content frame.
Image Added - Configure settings are difficult to describe, as they change depending on what kind of visualization is applied in the Type tab, so the following are some general guidelines.
- In general, Group by is how you would like the data to be grouped (e.g by assignment group, manager, etc.). Use the dropdown to select a field to group by.
Image Added - You can add additional groups that will appear at the bottom of your visualization as a dropdown.
- Click Additional group by, and a dialog box will appear.
Image Added - Select the field in the Available box to be added and use the right arrow to move it to the Selected box. To remove a field, select the field and use the left arrow.

Image Added - In general, Aggregation is your y-axis. Use the dropdown to select an option.
Image Added - Max number of groups determines how many items will be shown in your visualization. For example, a bar chart with 20 max groups will show 20 bars.
- Use the dropdown to select the appropriate number of groups.
