GUIDE STATUS: Status colour YellowGreen title In ReviewPublished
Overview
Sometimes, it would be beneficial to edit a template that has already been created. This could be caused by a convention change, OIT standard implementation, etc. Follow along with the below instructions to edit an existing template. If you wish to create a new template, take a look at the guide Create a Template.
Edit a Template
- Navigate to a page of the same type as the template. In this example, a project template is edited, so the record opened is a project record.
- Make sure to have your template bar toggled. If you haven't done this yet, follow the Toggle the Template Bar guide.
- Select the All templates button on your template bar (button with three dots).
- A menu will appear listing all existing templates. Do not click on the template name. This would apply the template to your existing record.
- Instead, click the Edit link on the right hand side of the template you would like to edit.
- A window will appear titled Edit Template. All existing template information will be displayed.
- Add, delete, or edit fields as desired. Once finished, scroll down and click the Update button to save your changes.
