Department

Users do not see any tabs 

By default, the department tab is displayed for all user with valid UCI login.  If the user does not have legitimate access from SAMS or the ARRA definied data, user may see the following error message 

Users do not see any reports in "My Report?

The list on default show only the pending ARRA awards/reports which the user needs to work on.  If a report does not show up, it means the report is already completed.  In order to view the information, user can change the search option of "Pending Report" to  ALL Reports

How long does it take from granted access in SAMS to actually able to log into the ARRA Report

SAMS access permission is instantaneous, however since ARRA Report system temporary store and cache the user access, user may need to wait for 30 mins until access is reset within ARRA Report. 

Administration

Who are the department users with access in SAMS?
  • First you need to find out the FS department code of a report.  This can be done from view the report list at tab: Administration/Report List.
  • Once determined the FS Department code (ex: 0125), go to tab: Administration/SAMS Department Access list and select the FS Department from the drop down, then select "Get Department Access List"
  • (warning) Some Administrations are granted access to ALL departments and therefore they will always show up in the list (TODO? remove administrators)

How can I get the xml report?

XML Reports are generated automatically when a report is Marked as Uploaded.  After the report is marked as uploaded, an option will be availabe for the report.

  1. Select the option and the XML report table would be displayed (Since there might be multiple versions of XML sorted from latest to earliest)
  2. The XML content will also display underneath the table
  3. Select "Get XML document" to download the .xml file
What if I need to make changes to an report already submitted or XML report is created?

Report modification requires resetting the status of the report to "Work in Progress" so that department can make changes.  When the changes are completed, user can resubmit the report for ARRA Administrators to approve the report.  After the report is approved, administrator can "Mark the report upload" and a new XML file is generated.

In the XML document view, there will be multiple XML reports downloadable from the table.  Select the "Downlaod XML Report" to get the latest document (the file last generated)
