  1. You will first see a WebAuth login page. Login with your UCInetID and Password.


  2. When you login, you will have an option to choose your type of phone device and either Duo Push or to enter in a Passcode. The example that is shown uses "Android" as a device. If you choose to select Duo Push, then press the "Log in" button.


  3. You will receive a notification from Duo on your mobile device. Click approve. If you do not click approve fast enough, the dialog box down below will pop-up.  


  4. If you do click approve in time though, the WebAuth page on your computer will redirect to this screen.
  5. You have now successfully used Duo Push.

WebAuth PassCode

  1. Follow WebAuth Duo Push Steps 1 and part of Step 2. Instead of choosing Duo Push as your option and decide to opt for the Passcode option, go to your DUO mobile app on your mobile device. Open up Duo to show:

  2. Press on the "key button" right next to the words University of California Irvine. You will next get a screen that shows:

  1. You will have UNIX SSH open and it will ask you to input your username first. Press the "Enter" key on your keyboard. Next you must input your password, but the password will not show up when you type it. When you are done typing up your password and you press "Enter", this screen pops up.

  2. Type in just "1" not "1." for Duo Push to Happen and press enter. 


  3. You will get an e-mail from Duo to accept the request to approve the Login Request. Approve the Login request and UNIX SSH will show the following message.

  5. When You are now logged into UNIX SSH. When you are done with your work, you can type in either "exit", "logout", or to press the red x-button to exit.
