You will need to complete all federally mandated reporting on a quarterly basis. To facilitate
this reporting, UCI has created and implemented an ARRA Reporting Web Tool that consolidates report data from Sponsored
Projects, Accounting, and the academic department/research unit to facilitate reporting. You or
your department administrator
should log on to <app-url/> and complete the required information by the close of
prior business toon <award.reportPeriod.departmentCutoffDate/>.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR THE OCTOBERJANUARY - DECEMBERMARCH REPORTING PERIOD:
* UCI uses the "Best Available Data *Model" UCIto hasfulfill adoptedits andreporting willobligations useto the "Best Available Date Reporting Model". Financial-related
information such as expenditures, jobs created/retained and vendor payments should federal
government under the Recovery Act. This means that UCI uses the best data available prior to the opening
of the quarterly reporting window to prepare its reports. Because the data required to be reported usingis
managed across many data from the final general ledger for November 2009. This information should be available by December 8.
* UCI has modified itssystems and these systems are updated and data validations are performed at various
times, please use the following to determine how to complete the information required by the
ARRA Reporting Web Tool:

* ARRA reporting is cumulative. Please remember to report jobs created/retained, vendor payments and
other financial and programmatic information on a cumulative basis from the award start date through
November 30, 2009.
* While information from the February - September reporting period will be available in the UCI ARRA
Reporting Web Tool, given the changes noted above, it is recommended that vendor payments and jobs
created/retained be recalculated and reported from the start date of your award through November 30, 2009.

end of the second month of the Recovery Act reporting quarter (i.e., February, May, August or November, as appropriate).

Expenditure, invoice and other financial information (reported by Accounting) should be reported from the
start date of the award through the end of the second month of the Recovery Act reporting quarter.
Jobs should be reported as described in the updated guidance provided in ARRA Reporting Frequently Asked Questions
Nos. 15 - 19 (<faq-15-url/>). Please read the responses to these questions
in their entirety to ensure that the reporting of jobs is consistent with UCI's reporting model.
