To become a Duo mutli-factor authentication user (either hardware or software):
- All communications, including the Duo token activation email, will be via your ucinetid@uci.edu email address - do not ask us to sent the token activation email to some other address. If the delivery point associated with your UCInetID does not point to an email address you normally read, please change the delivery point by going to http://www.oit.uci.edu/email-calendar/deliverypoint/ before you request your Duo token. The delivery point defaults to UCI mail servers so employees of vendors will need to make this change unless they plan on using UCI's mail servers.
- Complete, agree to, and submit the UC Irvine Duo Security Token Agreement Form including explaining what the token will initially be used for.
- A Duo Security token is then assigned to the user. Token assignment of hardware or software is done based on availability. Additional charges may apply for hardware token.
